Misc

Dreams Due to her diverse nature, Hoshi has many goals. Her major dream is to become an astronaut doctor for NASA or JSA, and be the first to stand on the top of the tallest mountain in the solar system, Olympus Mons on Mars.
However if she fails or other obstacles prevent this dream Hoshi aims to become a actress working on stage musicals, possibly playing Sailor Mercury in a Sera Myu production. Her other fall back dream is to become a scientist.

Hobbies Hoshi occupies her time with hobbies such as morning jogs, reading science fiction or other fictional books, or modifying hardware on her computer. She also tends to her shuttle trying to rebuild the damaged drives and other times she is busy with simulation training in hopes of being accepted to NASA as an astronaut.
Clothing Hoshi prefers to wear casual clothing that doesn't constrict movement such as pleated or loose cotton skirts and short sleeved shirts. She refrains from wearing denim jeans because they make her feel uncomfortable and tend to be a bit too tight or restricting.

Life

Living Situation After her family's death, Hoshi was sent to live at the Koji Jidou Fukuri Soukutsu (Orphaned Children's Welfare Home). She spent the last two years assisting her family’s lawyer to sort through the families papers. Soon after her 14th birthday, Hoshi left the orphanage and moved into an apartment near the CROWN plaza.
Job Hoshi works part time at CROWN gaming and karaoke plaza. She works as a waitress in the attached café and helps maintain the arcade and karaoke equipment.
Family Hoshi’s father was a Japanese-German businessman who often travelled to America, Australia, the United Kingdom and Spain on business. Being a businessman meant a lot of guests would often visit her father at home, most of which were from Spain or America. Her mother worked as a nurse in a nearby doctor’s office. Hoshi has no siblings or living relatives.
History

When Hoshi was eight, her parents were killed while vacationing at their holiday home on Mt. Atago. An airplane crashed into the home causing debris to fly outwards towards the vacationing family by the poolside. Her parents were killed almost instantly. Hoshi, having been pushed into the pool and protected by her parents, survived with major cuts, burns and bruises; her scar is the result of this accident. The rescue teams recovered the unconscious girl, treating her as one of the few other surviving passengers. The crash investigation eventually found out that the plane had crashed due to major engine and pressure loss. They also discovered that Hoshi and her family had not been on the flight; in light of this news Hoshi was sent to the Koji Jidou Fukuri Soukutsu, an orphanage outside of Tokyo.

Years later, after the conclusion of the crash investigation and processing of legal documents, Hoshi received her parents’ life insurance and last will of testament.

Residency Azabu-Juuban, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan
Place of Origin Nara, Nara Prefecture, Japan
School Hoshi’s parent’s placed her on the waiting list for T*A Private Girls School when she turned 5. Their intention had been for Hoshi to complete her schooling from junior high on at the private school. The accident and Hoshi’s subsequent enrolment at the orphanage prevented that. After reading her parents papers, Hoshi learnt of the enrolment and using some of the life insurance money and a contact on the school board, she was able to transfer to the school after she left the orphanage and moved to Juuban district. Some of the other students look down on her for her "special" treatment; transferring into T*A is almost unheard of.
Personality

Hoshi is cheerful and optimistic about her life and her work. She can be a little overconfident when dealing with the senshi's enemies as she feels that she knows them better then they know themselves. This also makes her a little arrogant at times in major battles, which can sometimes lead to Hoshi underestimating her enemies.

Hoshi is very intelligent and has a strong talent for abstract thought, and thinking on her feet. Although at times, her overconfidence and cockiness can get the better of her, causing her to rush into some battles without thinking.

She likes to try many new ventures as a result of her diverse nature; just so long as it doesn't interfere with her schooling. Though she means well Hoshi may overload herself with more projects and activities than she can handle.

Other Infomation

Weapons Ofuda: During their spare time, Rei teaches Hoshi how to hone her psychic abilities dealing with the ofuda scrolls. Though her psychic powers are not as focused or as strong as Rei's, she continues to focus on learning about her weak latent powers. Hoshi has grown a dislike for Rei due to her often forced lessons.
Powers

Telepathy: Hoshi is able to send and receive thought patterns. Because her telepathy is weak, she tends to be interrupted by "noise" from other human minds. She can however concentrate harder to bypass the "noise" in another's brain pattern, but it usually results in distractions or major headaches that are highly unwanted.

Premonitions: These are a result of her training with Rei. Premonitions are the weaker of Hoshi's psychic abilities. She is usually asleep when receiving them and they tend to border on a strong feelings or visions.

Hoshi feels that Rei forced her into training her psychic abilities. The pressure Rei sometimes gives her about the training had made Hoshi not care about the abilities to the point that she doesn’t like to use them.

Profile - Sailor Caloris

Senshi Name Sailor Caloris
'Caloris' is the name of a large impact crater on Mercury. It is believed to have been caused by a large orbiting body, such as a moon, which hit the planet. 'Caloris' is Latin for "hot plain."
Sailor Colours Sky blue and purple are Caloris’ main colours. Her fuku also has small amounts of white, red and navy blue.
Realm of Influence Fire and Water (steam)
Henshin Scene Hoshi raises her Henshin wand above her head where a number of streams arch out of the top of the wand. Of the streams from the wand, half the streams are fire and half are water. The streams pair off, one fire and one water, towards each part of Hoshi’s body, where they meet and become steam hovering just over her skin. A final blast of fire and water from the Henshin wand, now held over Hoshi’s chest, causes the steam to hit her skin and turn into the fuku within a ‘curtain’ of steam. Once the remaining steam clears, Caloris stands with her feet apart, knees almost touching, with one hand on her hip and the other pointed away from her body slightly into the air.
Aura Colour Light Purple
How they became a Senshi Hoshi became a senshi as a result of an accident during the Silver Millennium. Hoshi didn’t have a starseed when she arrived in the Moon Kingdom and was in danger of disappearing. In an attempt to save Hoshi’s life, Mercury and Mars were able to call to a nearby damaged sailor crystal starseed which was on its way back to the Cauldron. The sailor crystal absorbed some power from Mercury and Mars as it merged with Hoshi. It wasn’t until Hoshi was reborn on Earth that the crystal was strong enough to give her a senshi form.
Mission Hoshi believes she is meant to protect the princesses of Mars and Mercury while they perform their duty of protecting the moon princess. She thinks this is the reason she became a sailor senshi by their joint powers.
Hoshi’s true duty is to defeat the enemy that was created by her passage into the timeline.

Attacks

Flaming Meteor Small points of fire appear at the ends of each of Sailor Caloris' fingers as she forms a pyramid shape with her hands. The fire around her fingers is directed into the middle of the pyramid. As she says "Flaming", a ball of fire develops in between her hands. Once the ball is the size of the pyramid, Caloris throws the ball into the air where it continues to grow larger. When she calls "Meteor" the large fireball slams towards the ground under the target. A small crater is left after the meteor hits the ground. Basic level attack
Aqua Arc Crossing her arms behind her back and calls "Aqua", water collects around Sailor Caloris' hands. Once her hands are covered with water, she arcs her arms out and around her body, dragging the water behind. The twin arcs twist together as she calls "Arc". The water then drills into the target. Basic level attack
Basilisk Rise Sailor Caloris reaches her arms towards the sky as a small flame forms in her palm. Saying "Basilisk", the flame slides down her arm and spins around her before entering the ground in front of her as she lowers her arms. When the flame enters the ground, Caloris says "Rise" and a giant fire lizard grows out of the ground. The Basilisk moves towards the enemy leaving a trail of fire behind it and small balls of fire ahead of it. Star level attack
Kelpie Swell Caloris lifts her arms outwards as water gathers around her. Once she is covered by roughly 1000 litres of water drawn from the nearby air, ground and surface, she whispers "Kelpie". Part of the water covering Caloris' body takes on the form of horses which then charge at the target. As the living water surrounds the target, Caloris calls out "Swell". The rest of the water expands outwards to cover the target, drowning them. Star level attack
Fire Mist Caloris passes her hands over her brooch, moving them to her sides. The air around the brooch begins to ripple for a moment while Caloris turns her palms forward. Circles of hot flame appear on her hands. Calling "Fire", columns of flame shot from her palms into the air in front of her, creating a thick pillar of flame directed from her brooch. Caloris then calls "Mist" and the flame disperses into a superheated 'wall' between the senshi and the target. The mist floats in the air for some time before settling to the ground. Super level attack
Glacier Wall Crossing her wrists together, Sailor Caloris calls "Glacier", and bands of water emerge from her hands. Spinning around, she rases her hands over her head causing the water to move out in every direction. When Caloris calls "Wall", the water hardens into ice forming a protective dome around herself and anyone within a 1 metre (3 foot) radius. Super level attack
Steam Inferno Sailor Caloris lifts her arms up as she calls "Steam". In each hand a ball appears. One is water while the other is fire. Once the balls are formed, Caloris slams her hands together she calls "Inferno". A column of superheated steam erupts from her cupped hands which arcs towards the target. Once the last of the steam clears, the target is thoroughly roasted. Eternal level attack
Hell's Fire Douse Sailor Caloris lifts the Frozen Star Crystal above her head whispering "Hell’s Fire". Super heated blue flames emerge from her hands and travel down her arms and body then spread out in all directions at the speed of sound once they reach the ground. The groundwater in the effected area turns into steam as the ground begins to heat up and starts to melt. As Sailor Caloris falls, she whispers "Douse". At this point, the flames turn into waves of water and large amounts of steam rise into the air. After the steam falls back to the ground as rain, the weakened and burnt off soil layer collapses from the weight of the water. As the last of the steam clears, Hoshi is left floating in the new 1 metre (3.33 foot) deep lake. Celestial level attack

Caloris Sailor Crystal History

Many years ago, before the forming of the Silver Millennium, a young senshi lived on her small planet in the outermost parts of the Milky Way Galaxy. This lonely planet on the edge of known space went down in the history books for one sole reason. It was the site of the first recorded battle of the 1st Sailor War.

The element of this senshi was absorption. She could absorb magical power and discharge it at will. This made her all but invulnerable to magical attacks. Her only defense to physical attacks was to dodge them, and she lacked the speed to be able to dodge all but the most basic of physical attacks. After all, everyone always attacked with magic, why would she need to watch for someone trying to hit her?

Before Chaos had an interest in collecting sailor crystals and before Galaxia entered the battle, Chaos reached the out of the way planet in its quest to destroy everything in the galaxy. The senshi of absorption quickly answered the call to battle and confronted Chaos, standing there absorbing Chaos’ attacks and sending them right back while the people of the planet fled.

Chaos grew tried of the deadlock and charged the young girl. Surrounding her with its ethereal body, Chaos ripped into her from all sides and clawing through her body until nothing but a mass of blood and a glowing crystal were left.

Chaos grabbed hold of the crystal and began squashing it. As cracks started appearing across the surface of the glowing crystal, a bright light shone through the cracks forcing away the darkness of Chaos. Damaged, rapidly losing it’s energy and with no host with which to contain it’s powers, the sailor crystal shot into the sky heading for the only safe place it knew would have what it needed, the galaxy cauldron.

Coming upon a star system, the crystal stopped in what was known as the Caloris Basin on the inner most planet and began rebuilding its power for the long trip to the cauldron. After resting there for several years, it heard a call for its help coming from the nearest moon. If the crystal could get a new host, then its powers would be contained within while it could focus on repairing itself. It would take some time to repair and allow the new host to become a senshi, but returning to the cauldron in its current state would take just as long.

The crystal transported itself the short distance to Luna and, after drawing in power from the nearby senshi, planted itself into the nearby injured and seedless person.
